Named as One of the Top 100 Home Health Agencies in the United States

Top 100

The newly released HomeCare Elite 2014 names Ideal Home Care as one of the TOP 100 home health agencies in the United States.  This is the single highest recognition in the home health industry. The HomeCare Elite list stands apart as the most comprehensive and authoritative ranking of Medicare-certified home health agencies.  These rankings should be of particular interest to anyone making home health referrals.  Each year, National Research Corporation and their associates collect detailed Medicare data on patient outcomes, quality of care process measures, patient satisfaction, and financial stability.  They then use that data to create a list of the nation’s home health agencies that are actually creating positive outcomes, satisfying patients, and doing so in a sustainable manner.

Simply making the 2014 HomeCare Elite list means that the agency is in the top 15% of agencies nationwide.  Roughly 1,600 home health agencies make the list each year.  However, within the list there is an additional designation for the nation’s TOP 500 and the TOP 100 agencies.  Earning the TOP 100 ranking in the 2014 list means the agency is in the top 1% of all home health agencies.

Several risk-adjusted, objective scores were considered in these rankings. For instance, compared to other home health agencies in Oklahoma, patients with Ideal prove 34% more likely to improve with ambulation. They are 27% more likely to improve with dyspnea (difficulty breathing). Patients with Ideal are 19% less likely to require hospital admission during the home health episode, and they are more likely to recommend the agency to friends and family.

The latest HomeCare Elite recognition serves as just one more milestone in the ongoing success Ideal Home Care has experienced since the inception of this nurse-owned agency eleven years ago.  We credit this success to our commitment to putting patients first.  Ideal does not cap visit numbers based on episodic reimbursement models.  To ensure continuity of care and patient comfort, we go to the extra trouble of scheduling the same nurse for every visit to a home.  To all our patients, their families, and to the doctors and discharge planners who refer to Idea Home Care, we say thank you for trusting Ideal.
